1. Overview

ZenTab ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that replaces the default new tab page with a minimalist dashboard. This privacy policy describes how the Extension handles user data.

2. Data Collection

ZenTab does NOT collect any data. Specifically:

No personal information is collected
No browsing history is accessed or stored
No analytics or tracking tools are used
No cookies are set by the Extension
No data is sent to any external server

3. Data Storage

The Extension stores the following data locally on your device only using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API:

Settings: Your display preferences (name, clock format, search engine)
Quick Links: Your customized shortcut links
Todo Items: Your todo list entries

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to the Extension developer or any third party.

4. Permissions

The Extension requires only one permission:

storage: Used to save your settings, quick links, and todo items locally on your device

5. Third-Party Services

ZenTab does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services. Search queries are sent directly to the search engine you choose (Google, Bing, Baidu, or DuckDuckGo) via standard browser navigation — the Extension does not intercept or log these queries.

6. Children's Privacy

The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
