MeasureMate Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 5, 2026

MeasureMate is designed to measure page areas on the active web page directly inside your browser.

Data Collection

MeasureMate does not collect, sell, transmit, or share personal information. The extension does not use analytics, advertising trackers, remote logging, or external servers.

Data Stored Locally

MeasureMate may use Chrome storage only for lightweight local extension preferences. It does not store page content, measurements, browsing history, or personal information.

Page Content

MeasureMate displays a local overlay on the active web page only when you enable measurement mode. It reads pointer coordinates and page scroll offsets to calculate pixel dimensions. This processing happens locally in your browser. Page content and measurements are not sent to the developer or to any third-party service.

Permissions

MeasureMate requests the tabs permission to identify and message the active tab when the user opens the extension popup. It requests the storage permission to save local extension preferences.

Third Parties

MeasureMate does not integrate with third-party APIs and does not transfer user data to third parties.

Changes

This policy may be updated if the extension changes. Updates will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
