LinkPilot Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 5, 2026

LinkPilot is designed to audit links on the active web page directly inside your browser.

Data Collection

LinkPilot does not collect, sell, transmit, or share personal information. The extension does not use analytics, advertising trackers, remote logging, or external servers.

Data Stored Locally

LinkPilot may use Chrome storage only for lightweight extension preferences. It does not store page content, link reports, browsing history, or personal information.

Page Content

LinkPilot reads links from the active web page only when you open the extension popup or choose to highlight links. This processing happens locally in your browser. Page content and link reports are not sent to the developer or to any third-party service.

Permissions

LinkPilot requests the tabs permission to identify and message the active tab when the user opens the extension popup. It requests the storage permission to save local extension preferences.

Third Parties

LinkPilot does not integrate with third-party APIs and does not transfer user data to third parties.

Changes

This policy may be updated if the extension changes. Updates will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
